Aggregate
Concrete Block Solutions for
New Part L
The
Concrete Block Association
(CBA) has created a 12 page
guide to help specifiers
and builders satisfy the
requirements of the new Part
L of The Building Regulations
for England and Wales, conservation
of fuel and power, effective
6 April 2006. The new regulations
are based on a range of performance
values including those for
the building envelope. The
guide features 14 solutions
detailing typical external
cavity wall constructions,
involving aggregate concrete
blockwork, with U-values
between 0.25 and 0.30 W/m2K.
